Stop Mining in the Dark: Introducing Ore Finder, Netherite Scanner, Slime Chunks & Portal Calculator!
We’ve all spent hours strip-mining at Y=-58 hoping to hear that sweet diamond-clinking sound, or accidentally stepped through a Nether portal only to end up suffocated in a wall 500 blocks away from base.
Well, those days are over. Today, we’re super excited to launch a brand-new suite of 4 Seed Tools built directly into MCSeedShare!
The cubiomes engine runs in your browser through WebAssembly, so you can check structure coordinates, plan farms, and work out portal links before you load the world.
Here is a full tour of what’s new!
1. Ore Finder: Pinpoint Every Vein at Any Depth
Stop digging aimlessly and hoping for the best. The new Ore Finder scans any Minecraft seed and reveals the exact 3D coordinates (X, Y, Z) and vein sizes of all Overworld resources.

- Every Overworld Ore Covered: Find Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold, Iron, Copper, Lapis Lazuli, Redstone, Coal, and even rare Fossils.
- Exact Y-Levels: Know whether you need to dig down to deepslate (Y=-58) or search mountain peaks (Y=256) for emeralds.
- Blazing Fast Scanning: We built a multi-threaded WebAssembly worker system so you can search thousands of chunks around spawn in a split second without lag.
- Distance & Target Radius: Sort findings by distance from your spawn point or custom coordinates so you can plan the shortest mining trip.
2. Netherite Finder: Locate Ancient Debris in Seconds
Finding Ancient Debris in the Nether is one of the biggest grinds in modern Minecraft. Our new Netherite Finder takes the frustration out of hunting for Netherite.

- Nether-Wide Scanning: Search across Nether Wastes, Crimson Forests, Warped Forests, Basalt Deltas, and Soul Sand Valleys.
- Debris Hotspots (Y=8 to Y=22): See the exact depth of every Ancient Debris cluster to plan the ultimate bed-mining or TNT blast route.
- Multi-Block Vein Detection: Instantly spot rare double and triple debris veins to get your full Netherite armor set faster than ever.
3. Slime Chunk Finder: Plan Your Farms with Precision
If you've ever tried to build an automatic farm or sticky piston door, you know how crucial slimeballs are. Finding a valid slime chunk can be a pain. The Slime Chunk Finder fixes that with an instant visual overlay.

- Native Seed Mathematics: Calculates official 16x16 slime chunks below Y=40 using Minecraft’s exact world-generation formulas.
- High-Contrast Grid Overlay: See glowing green slime chunk boundaries right over terrain biomes.
- Exact Chunk Coordinates: Click any chunk to see its exact bounds ((X_min, Z_min) to (X_max, Z_max)) so you know where to place your containment walls.
- Java & Bedrock Compatible: Works across all current Minecraft seed versions.
4. Portal Linking Calculator: Never Mislink a Nether Portal Again
That 8:1 coordinate ratio between the Overworld and the Nether can be tricky, especially when height (Y-level) is involved and portals end up linking to the wrong one 100 blocks away. The Portal Linking Calculator makes portal network building foolproof.

- Bi-Directional 3D Calculation: Convert Overworld coordinates to Nether coordinates (X/8, Z/8) and vice-versa with a single click.
- Height (Y-Level) Matching: Avoid portal cross-linking glitches by calculating exact height alignment.
- Blocks Saved Calculator: See exactly how many hundreds of blocks of walking you skip by traveling through the Nether.
- One-Click Map Pin: Sync your calculated portal locations directly onto the interactive Seed Map to see nearby terrain.
Quick Tools: Accessible Anywhere on the Map
We didn't just add standalone tool pages. We also built them directly into the Seed Map!
Whenever you are flying around a seed on the interactive map, click the new Quick Tools button to open a popover modal. You can immediately launch the Ore Finder, Netherite Scanner, Slime Finder, or Portal Calculator centered right on whatever coordinates you’re looking at!
